Russian Fairy Tales by Ivan Bilibin

Ivan Bilibin was a Russian artist who combined Art Nouveau with elements from folklore. His illustrations of fairy tales are a great example of his versatile work. This composite image features twelve of his illustrations from the collection of Russian fairy tales. The challenge was to put them together in an aesthetic way, fuse them into a unit with a universal feel, and still keep the decorative borders, which have a different role now.
